How Lifting Weights Will Change Your Life

There truly is a fountain of youth. We’ve had it avaiable to us all along. Everything we need, is already inside us. We just have to use it.

That’s right. We all have it. It’s called muscle. If you don’t use it you lose it. That’s called sarcopenia. The dictionary says, “loss of muscle tissue as a natural part of the aging process.” Wait, what, this has to happen as people have birthdays?

Certainly we have proof to the contrary, Jack LaLanne was the father of anti-aging. Losing muscle tissue is not “just a natural part” of aging. We can fight that. The more muscle you have on your bones, the stronger your bone. Stronger bones means strong attachements for your ligaments and tendons. Strong attachements mean strong joints. Strong joints mean a strong body.

You see how everything just lines up? You are responsible for the muscle mass you keep. You are the one that has to pick up the weight and put it down and pick it up and put it down. If you don’t, what’s the alternative.

If you are not actively pursuing your health by lifting weights and eating properly, then you are passively allowing decline and sarcopenia to be part of your life.

Is that how you want to live? Declining? No me. If you don’t want to “be just a natural part of aging” comment with NOT ME.
