7-Minute Paleo Apple Crumb

We have all made great strides to eat healthier. We are eating less sugar and focusining on being healthy. But sometimes, you desire something a little sweet. We want a little break and enjoy a little sweetness.

This quick, easy recipe will give you a fresh break without breaking the caloric bank. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Apple Filling:

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 apple peeled, cored and sliced

Crumb Topping:

  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • Dash Himalayan sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Place chopped apples in a microwave safe bowl and add cinnamon, lemon, and water
  3. Microwave for 1 minute, then mix and microwave for another 1 min
  4. Mix and microwave for a remaining 30 seconds or until soft- set aside
  5. In a bowl combine topping ingredients until crumbly
  6. Place on baking tray and bake for 5 minutes
  7. Place apple filling in shot glasses and layer with crumb topping
